StepUp Nursery is very sensitive to the needs of the children in our care, and we are a completely nut-free facility so that children with a nut allergy need not worry.
We realize that all children develop at their own pace so it is not necessary for a child to be potty trained to attend Nursery. Each classroom offers child-sized facilities and teachers work with the children as they are ready to teach them independence with using the toilet facilities.
StepUp Nursery follows the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) British Curriculum.
If a child turns 4 during a term then he/she can remain in the nursery until the end of that term.
Toys are routinely cleaned with chemical-free cleansers. If toys are put into a child’s mouth they are immediately put into a dirty bin and cleaned at the end of the day. The facility is cleaned on a daily basis and each Saturday the whole facility receives a sanitizing deep-clean.
All of our lead teachers are professionally trained with years of experience in early years child care. Every employee at StepUp Nursery undergoes a background check and are fully vetted.

When a child first starts at the nursery we have an allocated ‘settling period’ of no less than 5 days, where children attend class for between one and two hours as a maximum. This increases each day with the child’s confidence until we feel they are fully settled.
Our Settling In Policy aims to help parents assist their children in feeling comfortable in the Nursery, to benefit from what it has to offer and to be confident that their parents will return at the end of the session/day.
